The Olympics.

The Olympics in China will not in the long term be remembered for the magnificent stadiums or the fantastic opening and closing ceremonys they will be remembered for the achievements of the competitors.
There achievemts are timeless and will live on through the ages until man as finally destroyed the planet we live on.
London needs to remember that the games are not there for spectators or as an advertisement for a nation that are there for the those there to take part. I believe any plan to cut down on the Olympic village to save money should be strongly opposed by the IOC as the village is an important part of the experience of the Olympics for the Competitors.
London can never match China as Britain does not have the resources they have but what must be the priority of the London games is not legacy or television or the spectators it must be the competitors. They are what the games are about and for nothing else.
